Vent'anni fa, il 19 aprile 1987, andava in onda in America il primo episodio dei Simpsons. Una serie destinata ad un successo travolgente e ad un'influenza enorme non solo sul mondo dei cartoni animati ma sulla pop culture in generale. A me personalmente hanno cambiato la vita, e non ringrazierò mai abbastanza quel genio di Matt Groening. Nel nostro piccolo, in quanto italiani, dovremmo uno speciale ringraziamento anche a quell'altro genio di Tonino Accolla, che nella direzione del doppiaggio non solo ha reso perfettamente lo spirito del mondo di Springfield ma ha anche brillantemente sopperito alle inevitabile perdite lessicali e dei riferimenti locali con la riuscitissima aggiunta dei dialetti italiani.
Tutti in piedi e applausi. E altri vent'anni di intelligentissima e spassosissimma televisione.

Certo, poi in vent'anni hanno avuto alti e bassi (recentemente mi paiono un po' troppo "istituzionalizzati"), ma sono stati davvero un cambiamento di portata incommensurabile.

Mi è tornato in mente solo pochi giorni fa che, all'epoca della prima distribuzione dei Simpsons in Italia, un telegiornale ne parlò (in un accurato servizio di presentazione che mi pare fosse curato da Mollica, ma non ne sono certo) come di un cartone per un adulti dal quale i "grandi" avrebbero potuto trarre insegnamenti per essere genitori migliori.
